The Boys Junior Varsity-B soccer team, playing in their third match of the week played on the road against the Rochester Falcons, Thursday night. Won 2 - 1. In the first half, the boys were a bit sluggish from the bus ride, but held their own defensively controlling the pressure put on by the Falcons offense. Griffin McGee made three great saves to keep the game within reach, giving up just 1 goal in the first half. Tony Serraiocco played flawlessly in the 2nd half, holding Rochester in check. The beginning of the second half was played evenly, until Antonio Acevedo sent a ball down-line to speedy forward, Lucas Wilner, finishing his run with a well-played cross to Owen Soper. Owen finished with his 9th goal of the season. The mid-field was controlled by Andrew Gotta, Eddie Skaleski & Noah Johnson, while Cody Schneider, Daniel Sullivan, Jack Winterburn, Steven Jhonson and Steve Sulaiman keyed a strong defensive backfield.
Raven Player of the Match – Lucas Wilner delivered 5 passes, which were converted into 2 goals.
Join the boys Wednesday night, October 7th, when the Ravens travel to Troy for a re-match against the Colts with a 4:00 kick-off.
