SOUTHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL A & T: 26
On Wednesday the Ravens defeated Southfield A&T 30-26 in a district game played at Marian. A great defensive effort from the entire team help contribute to the victory. Junior guard Kristin Leman's individual defensive performance was a difference maker shadowing A&T's star player throughout the game. Junior captain Sarah Soraghan had 13 points, 2 assists and 2 steals. Sarah Ammon had 7 points and 10 rebounds. Kira Vance added 4 points and 10 boards. Elinor Kochanski knocked down two clutch free throws in the games closing seconds. The team is 10-11 on the season and will play Marian in the district championship.
A&T finished 14-8 on the season. Cheyenne McEvans had 13 points to lead the Warriors.
