On a near perfect spring day for track and field, the Ravens joined nearly 40 teams to produce a day full of outstanding performances and personal bests. Royal Oak's Alex Breen claimed 2nd place in the high jump with a jump of 6' 4". Breen's jump was just one inch shy of the ROHS record he set last spring. Drew Meinecke capped the day of track action with a 2nd place finish in the 3200m. Meinecke's time of 9:34.35 was nearly 15 seconds faster than his previous best. In the same race, Adam Hill finished 8th in 9:54.30, almost 17 seconds faster than his previous best. The next competition for Royal Oak is Thursday's OAA Blue/Gold Championship at Oak Park High School. Field events start 4:00 pm, followed by running events at 4:30 pm.
