Royal Oak, playing in the wind at Troy High, got a terrific start from Seth Werner and a clutch throw from Joe Binkowski to hang on and defeat Troy, 4-3!

Werner started and went 5 innings to earn the win. Werner (1-1) went 5 innings and gave up 2 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 6.  Tom Unger pitched the final 2 innings to earn the save.

Royal Oak scored a single run in the second inning on an RBI single by Dylan Landry.  They added 2 more in the 3rd on RBI single by Dan Romito and a sacrifice fly by Bryce Dunscombe.  Troy answered in the bottom of the inning with a 2 run home run by Mike Noon.

Royal Oak added their 4th run on another RBI single by Landry in the 6th.  Troy scored a run in the 7th and with 2 outs, hit a single to center.  Joe Binkowski came up with the ball and threw a strike to home to nail the Troy runner and end the game!!

Royal Oak is now 1-3 on the season.
